Finally got around to cleaning up some of the old magazines I have stashed here and there It's amazing how these things just keep piling up everywhere. I must stop and ask myself, why am I keeping these things? Perhaps I'm afraid they will suddenly stop publishing reading material of this sort. Maybe I spotted something I thought I wanted to come back to at some point in time. Or could it be that if I see them piling up, I might just quit spending good money on them? For whatever reason, I am turning over a new side of me. From now on, I will read the material, take notes if necessary, then send them off the next Tuesday for the trash pick up people to read.
While I do that, Jeanie has decided to go through some old photo's. She has found some great treasures. She will scan many of these and then put them onto a CD. As soon as that is done, I will post some of them on the Picassa site. We will be sure to share them.
Well, I am sitting here at the kitchen table snacking on pinto beans and potato salad while I write this. Jeanie did a great job on both.
Nice how I got from old mags to tasty pinto's, that's just me.

I used to have the same problem. Then I developed the binder approach. If I run across something I want to hang onto or remember, I go ahead and tear it our right then, put it in a clear sheet protector, and stick it in a three-ring binder. Then I can toss the magazine with a clear conscience. I have binders for recipes, home decorating ideas, and miscellaneous.
