Today is going to be one of quiet solitude. I know it now. Looking out the back door, across the green grass to the trees at the edge of the lot, my attention is captured by the blurred movement of humingbirds. In harmony, they appear to be performing a dance, as they manuever for position at the feeder. As soon as one lands, another rushes in to interrupt its feeding. This is an on-going routine throughout the day.
Isn't this pretty much what we humans do all week long at our job. We like to think of ourselves as sensitive to our surroundings. While at best, we make our choices, then adapt our surroundings to compliment the issue.

This was nicely written.
Yes, it is what we do at work all day. We flutter around the feeder like those birds, trying to knock each other off so we can get what we want--and as much as want--first.
At least that's how it is at MY work ;D
